Alinea Quartet
Harrington Church
This German group, in residence at Arthingworth Hall, will give a one-hour concert here before their UK tour. They will play Haydn’s Quartet in C major op 20, no 2 and Beethoven’s Quartet no 14 in Sharp minor op 131.

William Harris – Cello

William is studying for a music doctorate at the University of Los Angeles, USA. His recital will include a Bach cello suite. Listen to a rising star who now plays a cello made in 1750!

Organ Recital – Trevor Workman
Thorpe Underwood House
Trevor has been Director of Music at St Francis, Bournville for over 40 years, and has recorded several CDs. He also plays the famous Bournville carillon and makes guest appearances abroad as Britain’s top carillonneur. A TV screen in each room enables you to watch the intricacies of his organ playing.

The Swarbrick Singers

Ian Clarke directs his choir in a wide-ranging programme of choral music weighted to Advent and Christmas, interspersed with organ chorales. Enjoy the start of the Christmas season in atmospheric Harrington church with candles at sunset: warm clothes recommended! Carols and quiz for the audience are included.
